Why do we start things and never seem to finish them?

The world is a bunch of procrastinators. In fact I just remembered I even had this blog. It has been way too long since I last posted a post.......did that sound right to you?

I have lots of unfinished projects around the house. Sewing kits that never got completed, original paintings that remain unframed, photos that never found their way into photo albums and email that I have yet to sort through. Yep, I am a tried and true procrastinator but only with some things. If there is a deadline on any project it gets done on time or before time. If it is taxes, legal matters or stuff that is just plain due soon, then it gets done.

Writing in a blog or even updating a Facebook status is not high on my priority list.

Life seems to be a list of things to do or a bunch of stuff to sort through. I need to remove some of that so I can live a less complicated life.

How to get a million visitors to your blog in one day

You would think that since there are a billion people using the internet at least sometime during the day, getting just 1% of them (which is 10 million) to visit your blog should be easy. Then getting just 1 million visitors should be a piece of cake, so is it?

I personally only have a handful of visitors in a week, why you ask? The answer to that one is simple, I don't write anything that people are clamoring to read. I am not famous, the blog is not the blog of a well known brand of anything and I don't write particularly well. I would be lucky if Google picked up on the title of this blog post and put it in their searches.

So if YOU know the secret to getting a million visitors to your blog in one day, leave a comment and don't try to sell anybody anything. Yes the comments are moderated.

Dealing with spammers

One of my biggest headaches is dealing with spammers, those nasty sales people who only send out emails or make comments on blogs or message boards that will lead to income for them. Join me in putting a stop to them. If you have a hotmail or gmail account for your email, just report them as "junk" and their email address will be reported. If they send out too much "junk" their email provider will shut them down.

To put a stop to spam comments just moderate your comments or if you have a wordpress blog then just require them to join or sign up to comment. You can also ban commentators by ISP number. I did that and ended up removing about 99% of all my spam comments. If you run a message board require that everyone must be a member to write posts on the board. Search your board frequently for spammers and ban them without notice.

Let's put an end to junk comments about pills, software, enlargements, credit cards and affiliate links. If they want to make money so bad then they should take the legitimate route and buy advertising  from Google.

How in the world do people become famous just by blogging

I simply don't understand how some people can write a blog and get thousands of "followers," get on TV and become famous for writing a blog. I CAN understand if those people had committed a crime but not for writing a blog.

Let's face it, there are millions of blogs out in cyberland. A good portion of them have 3 blog posts and then are left to die, but they never die, they just simply float around for years to come. So how does one person's small little bit of daily or weekly writing get to the big time? Heck if I know. My guess is that it is like the millions of people that play guitars or sing for a hobby and never get noticed.......and maybe one or two people do. Those few that do become famous singers or song writers. It is all about getting noticed.

Since I am not the type of person to bring attention on myself, I guess I will not be noticed, followed nor become a famous blogger......... sniff.
